Academic, Social-Emotional, and Physical Health Support

Recognizing that students develop, 学习, and grow in a variety of ways, the Academy is committed to working with teachers and parents to help children understand their unique personalities and 学习ing profiles. Parents are valued “partners in education” and are consulted and closely involved in individualized planning on behalf of each child’s personal and academic success.
The Student Support Services team coordinates with faculty and families to ensure that every child has an academically and socially enriching Pre-K through Grade 12 experience. Consultation and services are available in the areas of 学习ing, counseling, and health. The Academy provides direct support to students through one-to-one and/or small group sessions, as well as classroom-based facilitations in coordination with faculty to help identify and support students’ personal and academic strengths.

Teachers and advisors offer the first line of support to Pre-K through Grade 12 students. Our low student-to-teacher ratio allows for differentiated instruction and individualized attention designed to meet the needs of our students. When observations prompting concern related to the academic, 社会/情感, or physical well-being of a student occurs, teachers implement different approaches or strategies independently or in collaboration with colleagues and or the student’s family. -
学生主任 & 教学支持
瑞秋 香农 is the 学生主任 & 教学支持. She is available to consult with students, faculty, and families. Any temporary or long-standing diagnostic information having an impact on a student’s 学习ing needs to be shared with Ms. 香农(e.g., 学习障碍, or mental or physical health challenge) so that she can in collaboration with teachers determine necessary action plans or strategies to assist the student. -
Students Support Service Team
Each division has a Student Support Service team to facilitate comprehensive student support. The Student Support Service team meets weekly to analyze student-centered concerns and ensures that the needs of students are addressed in a timely and meaningful manner, while respecting confidentiality and “need to know” guidelines.
